Cooperstown tournament souvenirs are one of the highlights of tournament week, but with so many shops and keepsakes to choose from, it’s hard to know what’s actually worth bringing home.

By the end of our week at Cooperstown All Star Village, we had picked up everything from personalized keepsakes to practical mementos that now remind us of an unforgettable baseball experience. Some were planned purchases, while others weren’t even on our radar until we saw them in person. A few ended up becoming our favorite reminders of the entire week.

🏆 #1 Personalized Wood Bat

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our Favorite Cooperstown Tournament Souvenir

If I could recommend just one Cooperstown tournament souvenir, it would be a personalized wood bat.

Before our trip, I already knew I wanted to buy one for my son, but I didn’t realize how popular they were until we got there. Most of the boys on our team ended up bringing one home, and it’s easy to see why. It’s one of those keepsakes that will always remind them of an incredible week in Cooperstown.

One thing I love is how many options there are. You can choose from full-size bats, mini bats that are easier to display, and lots of different colors and finishes depending on the shop. Then you can personalize it with your player’s name, jersey number, team name, tournament week, or another special message. My son chose to have “Cooperstown 2026” engraved on his bat so he’d always remember his tournament experience.

I expected it to become a display piece in his room, but that’s not what happened at all. He actually uses it for batting practice because it’s a quality bat, which somehow makes it even more special. Instead of sitting on a shelf, it’s something he gets to enjoy when he steps into the batter’s box.

Another idea I absolutely loved was what our team did for the coaches. At the end of the week, we surprised each of them with a personalized bat as a thank-you gift. It was such a meaningful way to thank them for everything they had done throughout the season and to celebrate an unforgettable week together.

Quick Tip: Don’t wait until the last day to order an engraved bat. We only waited about an hour for ours, but one of my friends ordered hers when the shop was much busier and was told it would take about 24 hours. Ordering earlier in the week gives you plenty of time to pick it up before heading home.

#2 Personalized Baseball

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the most personal Cooperstown tournament souvenirs

A personalized baseball is another Cooperstown tournament souvenir that can become much more meaningful than it first appears.

One thing I really liked is that the engraving was available right inside the Collectibles shop at Cooperstown All Star Village. It was easy to stop in between games or activities without having to leave the complex. If you’re heading to Cooperstown Dreams Park instead, they offer engraved baseballs there too, so families at either tournament can bring home a personalized keepsake.

There are so many ways to make it unique. Some players have the baseball they hit for a home run engraved. You can also choose a brand-new baseball, or game ball and create a keepsake that reflects your player’s personality or favorite memory from the week.

At first, I thought about engraving the ball I hit for a home run during the Mom’s Home Run Derby because it was such a fun memory. Once I saw some unique ideas for the players, I decided to surprise my son instead.

I had a game ball engraved with his name, team name, tournament dates, and “King of the Outfield.” Since he loves playing center field, it fit him perfectly. Seeing his face when I gave it to him made me realize I made the right choice.

I also loved seeing the ideas other families came up with. One teammate had “Toughest Player of the Game” engraved on his baseball after sustaining an injury during the tournament. Others personalized home run balls they had hit during the week. Those little details turn a simple baseball into a keepsake that tells the story of your Cooperstown experience.

#3 Tournament Photo Package

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My favorite Cooperstown tournament souvenir

This one is a little different because it’s really a souvenir for me, not my son.

I’m a huge photo person, so I already knew I wanted the photo package before we even arrived. Looking back, it ended up being one of the best purchases we made all week.

I took a lot of pictures myself, but there was no way I could capture every great play while also cheering him on. Having professional photographers there meant I could put my phone down, enjoy the games, and still come home with incredible action shots.

We ended up with around 350 action photos from three games, plus a team panorama. Some of my favorite pictures from the entire week are moments I never even realized someone was photographing until I opened the galleries that night. 

I honestly think I appreciate these photos even more now than I did when we first downloaded them. Every time I look through them, they take me right back to that week in Cooperstown.

#4 Trading Pins: A Cooperstown Tournament Souvenir Full of Memories

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The souvenir that tells the story of the week

For my son, this ended up being one of the most meaningful souvenirs from Cooperstown.

Every pin he brought home reminds him of a player he met, a trade he made, or a place we visited during the week. He traded with players from teams all over the country, swapped pins with shop owners around Cooperstown, and even picked out a few special ones to buy, including one from the Baseball Hall of Fame. 

Before we arrived, I thought pin trading was just another activity. After seeing how excited the boys got every time they spotted a new design, I realized it was a much bigger part of the Cooperstown experience than I expected. 

His pin binder tells the story of his week almost as much as our photos do. Every time he flips through it, there’s another trade or story he remembers.

#5 Upgraded DOME Fitted Hat

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ The souvenir he still uses

My son has a lot of baseball hats, but this is one he still wears all the time.

Before Cooperstown, our team debated whether we should upgrade to the fitted DOME hats or stick with the standard hats that are included. We ended up waiting until we arrived so everyone could try on different sizes, and I’m really glad we did.

The boys on our team loved the fitted hats, and they quickly became their official game hats for the week. Unlike some souvenirs that end up on a shelf, this is one my son still wears regularly.

Looking back, I definitely think the upgrade was worth it. If your team is considering it, I’d recommend waiting until you get there so players can try on different sizes before ordering.

#6 Official Tournament T-Shirt

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ A souvenir I wish we had preordered

This is probably the one souvenir I regret not buying.

Before we arrived, families had the option to preorder the official tournament T-shirt with all of the teams competing that week listed on the back. I decided to wait because I wanted my son to try it on in person before ordering.

Big mistake.

We stopped in the gift shop less than an hour after checking in, and they were already sold out of every size that was even close to fitting him. He was disappointed, and honestly, so was I.

He still picked out another Cooperstown All Star Village T-shirt that he loves, but it isn’t quite the same. The official tournament shirt would have represented our specific tournament week, and I think that would have made it an even more meaningful keepsake.

If your player thinks they’ll want the official week shirt, I’d seriously consider preordering it. Even though I usually prefer buying apparel in person, this is one souvenir I’d do differently if we ever went back.

Quick Tip: If your tournament offers an official week T-shirt with all of the participating teams listed on the back, don’t assume you’ll be able to buy it after you arrive. Popular sizes can sell out very quickly.

#7 Great Keepsakes Beyond the Tournament

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Not every souvenir we brought home came from the tournament itself.

One of our favorite stops during the week was the Baseball Hall of Fame gift shop. We all found something to bring home, and it was fun picking out souvenirs that reflected our own interests. My son added a few baseball pins to his collection, while the rest of us found Hall of Fame keepsakes to remember our visit.

Beyond the Hall of Fame, you’ll also find plenty of baseball shops throughout Cooperstown selling everything from baseball cards and apparel to mini bats, magnets, ornaments, and other baseball-themed gifts. If you leave a little room in your budget, it’s worth wandering through the shops because you never know what you’ll find.

Looking back, the souvenirs we treasure are the ones that remind us of specific moments from the week.

Every time my son picks up his engraved bat, flips through his pin binder, or puts on his Cooperstown hat, it brings back memories of the games, teammates, and experiences that made the tournament so special.

My biggest advice is to leave a little room in your budget for souvenirs once you arrive. You can plan for the big purchases ahead of time, but some of our favorite keepsakes were the ones we discovered while exploring Cooperstown and visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame.
