Eating gluten free at EPCOT is really enjoyable because there are so many food options and different ways to find something that works.
At the same time, it is not always obvious what is actually gluten free when you are walking through the park. Between snack stands, festival booths, and quick-service locations, it can feel like you are figuring it out as you go if you do not have a general idea of what to look for.
You can also review Disney’s official allergy information and request process here.
After multiple trips eating gluten free at Disney World, I have found that EPCOT is one of the best parks for gluten free options, but it is also the one where it helps the most to know what to look for ahead of time.
In this guide, I am sharing what to eat gluten free at EPCOT, the places that have worked best for us, and what to know before you go so you are not stuck guessing once you are there.
If you are still planning your trip, you can check discounted tickets through Undercover Tourist to see if there are any savings available for your dates.

What to Eat Gluten Free at EPCOT (Real Meals + Snacks)
When eating gluten free at EPCOT, I still like to have a general idea of what I am going to eat so it does not feel like a guessing game once we are in the park.
There are a lot of options, but not everything is clearly labeled, especially at snack stands and festival booths. Knowing a few places that consistently work and a few foods that are usually safe makes a big difference.
For us, that means a mix of at least one reliable meal and a handful of snacks we come back to every trip.
If you are planning multiple parks, I share a full breakdown of what to eat and what to expect in our gluten free Disney World guide.
If you are planning several Disney park days, I also have separate guides for gluten free dining in Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios so you can map out meals ahead of time.
Our Go-To Meal: La Cantina de San Angel

Mexico is one of the places we tend to come back to when eating gluten free at EPCOT because we love Mexican food and know there are some great gluten-free options.
Most of the time, we’ll stop at La Cantina de San Angel for something quick. This is where we’ll grab nachos or tacos when we want something a little more filling than snacks but still keep the day flexible.
We also just really like this spot. Sitting by the water with a margarita, taking a break, and looking out over the lagoon is one of those moments that makes EPCOT feel relaxing, so it’s an easy choice for us.
There are definitely other places in EPCOT where we can find something gluten free, but this is one we come back to because we’re familiar with it.
Sometimes, though, we’ll switch it up and do a sit-down meal inside the Mexico pavilion instead. That’s a completely different experience—more relaxed, more predictable, and a good option if you’d rather have a reservation and know what you’re getting ahead of time.
For us, it really depends on the day. Some trips we’re all about snacking and keeping things flexible, and other times it’s nice to sit down, take a break, and not have to think about it as much.

Other Quick Service Options That Have Worked for Us
While La Cantina is our most consistent go-to, there are a few other quick-service spots at EPCOT where we have been able to find gluten free options.
These are not places I rely on every trip, but they are good to keep in mind:
- Sunshine Seasons (The Land Pavilion) — a variety of options, and usually easier to find something that works
- Regal Eagle Smokehouse (American Adventure Pavilion) — good for more traditional meals like meats and sides
- Connections Eatery — one of the newer quick-service locations with a larger menu and allergy-friendly options
Like most quick service at Disney, I still check menus ahead of time or ask questions when ordering, but these are places where we have had good experiences.
If you want more reliable meals across all four parks, I also put together a list of our favorite gluten free quick service spots at Disney World.
The Snacks We Always Come Back To

This is really where EPCOT shines for gluten free.
A few of our consistent go-to options:
- Frozen margaritas in the Mexico Pavilion
- Macaron ice cream sandwich in France (this is one of my favorites)
- Maple popcorn in Canada
- Chips and guacamole at La Cantina
- Popcorn when we want something quick and easy
Popcorn has honestly become one of our easiest park snacks, and I also shared more details in my Disney popcorn and gluten free snacks guide.

If Dole Whip is one of your Disney staples too, I also shared allergy info, flavors, and dairy-free options in my Disney Dole Whip guide.
If you want more snack ideas before your trip, I also shared all of our favorite gluten free Disney snacks across the parks.
Trying New Gluten Free Foods at EPCOT
This is especially true during festivals, when there are booths set up all around World Showcase with rotating menus. A lot of those include naturally gluten free options like potato dishes, rice-based meals, and frozen drinks.
I break down more of what festival booths are actually like in my gluten free EPCOT festival food guide.

At the same time, this is also where things can feel a little less predictable.
I go into more detail on how I navigate that in gluten free EPCOT festival food and how to move through the booths.
Not every booth will have something that works, and it is not always clearly labeled. There have definitely been times where I have had to stop and ask questions or just move on to something else.
One thing that has helped a lot is checking menus ahead of time. There is a Food & Wine app that updates for each festival, and you can filter for allergens and see what each booth is offering before you get there. I do not rely on it completely, but it makes it much easier to have a few options in mind before walking up.
I still go into it knowing I might not try everything, and that is okay. I usually stick with a mix of things I know work and a few new options along the way.
Drinks Are One of the Easiest Gluten Free Options
I tend to stick with frozen drinks, slushy-style cocktails, or simple mixed drinks because they are usually straightforward and do not require a lot of questions.

Frozen margaritas in Mexico are one of my go-to options, but there are similar drinks all around World Showcase.
A lot of the time, this ends up being my fallback. If I am not seeing something I want to eat right away or I am not sure about a menu, I will grab a drink and keep moving until I find something that works.
We’ve also stopped at Starbucks in EPCOT for drinks, but the food situation is very different. Here’s what to expect at gluten free Starbucks in Disney World.
If you like building little snack or drink stops into your park day too, I also shared our favorite drinks around Disney World.
Sit-Down Restaurants (A More Predictable Option)
If you are feeling unsure about quick service or festival booths, sit-down restaurants can be one of the easiest ways to eat gluten free at EPCOT.

Being able to review the menu ahead of time, note gluten free on your reservation, and talk to a Cast Member or chef takes away a lot of the guesswork.
If there is a restaurant you really want to eat at, I would make the reservation. That can be one of the simplest ways to build in a more predictable gluten free meal at EPCOT.
If you are still deciding where to eat, I also shared our favorite Disney restaurants by park for quick service, sit-down meals, and character dining.
What’s Not Always Easy About Eating Gluten Free at EPCOT
Even though EPCOT has a lot of options, it does not always feel easy in the moment.
The biggest challenge for me has been the snack stands and festival booths. There have been times where we waited in line, got all the way up to order, and then realized there was nothing I could safely eat there. On a busy park day, that can feel frustrating, especially when everyone else is ready to grab something quickly and move on.
That is the tradeoff with EPCOT. There are a lot of options overall, but not every stop will work.
This is also where sit-down restaurants can feel easier in a different way. When you have a reservation, you can review the menu ahead of time, note gluten free on your reservation, and usually talk to a Cast Member or chef. That takes away a lot of the guesswork.
Over time, I have found a few things that make this easier.
Checking festival menus ahead of time has helped a lot. There is a Food & Wine app that updates for each festival, and you can filter for allergens and see what each booth is offering before you get there. I do not rely on it completely, but it makes it easier to have a few options in mind.
I also try to keep a few go-to options in mind so I am not starting from scratch if something does not work out.
I also shared a more honest park-by-park breakdown of what gluten free dining at Disney actually felt like for usover multiple trips.

🎒 Disney Park Essentials We Pack Every Time
These are the items we always pack to make travel days smoother and park days easier:
🧳 AirTags in Every Suitcase and Backpack
Disney trips involve early flights, crowded airports, and lots of luggage being moved between buses, monorails, rideshares, and bell services. We put an AirTag in every suitcase, park bag, and stroller so we always know where everything is. It gives me instant peace of mind on hectic travel days and in crowded parks.
➡️ Here’s the exact AirTag 4-pack we use.
🔋 Portable Charger (A Must!)
Between Genie+, Mobile Order, taking photos, and checking ride wait times, phones die FAST in Disney. A portable charger is an absolute must. I have had several over the years and this is hands down my favorite.
➡️ This is the portable charger we bring.
🧣 Cooling Towels for Hot Months
If you’re going anytime between March–October, cooling towels make waiting in outdoor lines so much easier for kids and adults.
➡️ These are the cooling towels we use.
🦶 Epsom Salt Foot Gel for Sore Park Feet (Our Secret Weapon)
Long Disney days = sore feet — especially when you’re walking 20,000+ steps around the parks. We bring this Epsom Salt Foot Gel on every trip because it’s instant relief without needing a full foot soak. After a day in Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, this is the one thing that makes our feet feel normal again. We keep it in our Disney hotel bathroom the whole trip and it gets used nightly.
➡️ Here’s the exact foot gel we pack.
(and yes… we’ve used it more times than I can count!)
🌬️ Mini Handheld Fan (Lifesaver for Disney Heat & Sports Tournaments)
We’ve used this little fan for years at baseball tournaments, and it works just as well for Disney park days. It’s powerful, rechargeable, and gives instant relief during those hot mid-day lines at Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. It’s small enough to toss in a backpack, but strong enough to cool you down fast. We keep it in our park backpack and it always comes out during parades, outdoor queues, or long walks between lands.
